Building use, importance & newsworthiness: This stunning building is the owner’s heated shop space and office. He chose to keep with the style of a traditional barn accenting it with large windows and barn doors. Two large hydro doors were chosen for the ease of moving equipment. The large open clear span allowed for an open shop area to easily access all of the shop space at once.
Unique features: Two large hydro doors with windows across the top allow ample sunlight while working in the shop. The unique bump out made the perfect space for a formal entry, office and bathroom. The barn doors and large front windows add to the visual appeal of this beautiful building. An overhead door was added to the north end for easy storage of smaller machinery.
Post-frame advantage: The owner chose post-frame construction for the large 80′ clear span as well as easy maintenance and a more cost-efficient construction option with quality craftsmanship.
