The National Frame Building Association® (NFBA) held it’s annual Expo in Des Moines, IA, March 4-8, 2024.
Greiner Buildings, Inc. with offices in Washington, Cedar Rapids, Urbandale and Kewanee, IL attended the Expo to broaden their knowledge about new products and innovations that are impacting today’s post-frame industry.
The NFBA Building of the Year Awards consists of 24 categories plus a Judges’ Award. The Building of the Year Awards allows builder member companies of comparable size to compete against each other. Each of the 12 award categories has two divisions:
Experts: Builders within the NFBA membership categories of $0–6 million in annual gross volume.
Masters: Builders within the NFBA membership categories of over $6 million in annual gross volume.

- Agricultural Storage / Workshops
- Commercial Buildings (< 5,000 SQ FT)
- Commercial Buildings (5,000 – 10,000 SQ FT)
- Commercial Buildings (> 10,000 SQ FT)
- Hobby Shops
- Horse Barns / Facilities (< 5,000 SQ FT)
Greiner Buildings, Inc. received the 2023 Building of the Year Award in the Masters division, Hobby Shop category. This 60x80x20’6” hobby shop stands in Iowa’s countryside. This building is filled with architectural beauty. From the flying decorative cedar gables with accenting porch, pergola to the upstairs deck, this building has it all. Its uniqueness stands out with the various color combination. The Cardinal metal siding shows its elegance and pops with bronze windows and Abalone trim. Walk in the shop with an endless amount of space to an adjoining upstairs loft.
